Information
Kite surfers use this beach in the summer, as I have never surfed then I cannot say how good it is.

The beach is massive and the kite flyers, buggies and boarders usually use the left hand side of the beach.

This is an area untouched by developers. There is a golf course that runs along the back of the beach so it is very open. There is nowhere to sit and eat, but you can buy hot drinks, ice-cream and chips etc at the beach shop, which is next to the large parking area, which is £3 per day.

Windsurfing conditions

Brancaster beach is an excellent wave sailing spot for experienced sailors. The waves are best when the wind is NW-NE and on a good day there can be up to thirty people on the water. Brancaster beach can be sailed for up to three hours either side of high water.
Ideal wind conditions are anything excpet Southerlies.

Brancaster Staithe is connected to Brancaster beach and offers better conditions for those less experienced. It is a very flat bay which offers a great speed sailing or beginner conditions. The strong tides can cause problems though, and it also means that you can only sail for 1-2 hours either side of high tide.

But be carefull when the tide is going out as the water goes out fast . Even local's get caught out at times
